WHAT WE DO
The Camperdown Vascular Laboratory provides a comprehensive non-invasive vascular diagnostic service using state-of-the-art colour duplex ultrasound technology. The Laboratory has been in continuous practice since 1983 and our staff are recognised as national leaders in non-invasive methods of vascular diagnosis
Investigations available for the non-invasive investigation of patients with vascular disease include:
- Peripheral arterial occlusive disease
- Detection and assessment of aortic and peripheral aneurysms
- Extra-cranial arterial disease
- Mapping of varicose veins
- An urgent service for suspected Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
- Investigation of suspected chronic venous insufficiency
- Renal and hepatic transplant follow-up
Available instrumentation includes arterial pressure measurement, exercise testing, plethysmography and comprehensive colour enhanced duplex scanning
